| Product Description | Inspired by European farmhouses, the 6-drawer Ciao Bella Chest reflects a simpler lifestyle. The Time Worn gray finish with multi-layer rub-through makes the chest look like it is been passed down through generations. A pull-out garment rod on either side of the case just above the top drawer provides a convenient space to hang frequently-used items or to lay out your clothes for early-morning departures. There is a drop-in felt liner in the top drawer, and the bottom drawer is cedar lined. Burnished brass hardware adds the finishing touch of style. Inspired by the small farmhouses that dot the French and Italian countryside and have been in the hands of the same family for generations, Hooker Furniture introduces the rustic Ciao Bella Collection. The whole home collection is an eclectic mix of European farmhouse pieces that have the appearance of furniture that has been refinished multiple times as it has passed through the generations. Ciao Bella includes bedroom, dining room, occasional, home office and accent furniture, and features a finish called Timeworn Gray that accentuates the historical nature of European farmhouses many of which include a variety of furniture styles that have been added by each generation of owners. |

Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Finish Construction: Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch. Drawer Construction: Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly. |
